Suzanne Vega is set to play Bethel Woods on May 13th, but we caught up with her tour last Friday at Rockland Community College thanks to Arts Rock! Here’s our short review of her show.
Suzanne is famous for her “Tom’s Diner” and “Luka” songs that made her name main stream in the 90′s. Suzanne is a lot more than those songs though. Last Friday she played new songs, old songs, songs she wrote for broadway, and entertained the full house at RCC with stories.
The entire show carried a ‘coffee shop’ vibe, with only her and her guitarist on stage. The feel of the show made it easier to connect with her as she played. If you love that style of show you are in luck because she’ll be playing the intimate Event Gallery at Bethel Woods.
Her tour included several stops across the northeast. She’s also promoting a new album “Close Up” that was released on February 2nd and is available on Amazon.com. Bethel Woods is her last stop before her tour heads off to play Europe.
If you are looking for relaxing evening full of soothing songs in a coffee shop atmosphere – then we fully sugest going to see her at Bethel Woods on May 13th. 7:30pm Show Time 6:30pm Doors $49.75 advance; $54.75 day of show -
