BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS SEND CLUB KIDS TO BRAZILIAN MUSIC SHOW

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Town of Wallkill, Pine Bush & Sullivan County sent a bus full of club kids to the recent “Minas: Brazilian Experience” concert at The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, as part of their “World Stage Experience.”

The club kids, who were from the Sullivan County locations, had a picnic lunch in the stone Terrace Stage and spent time before the concert making modern versions of traditional Carnival masks with the staff from The Museum at Bethel Woods.

The club kids then enjoyed the concert, and several club kids even got up on stage to sing, dance and play traditional Brazilian instruments with the Minas performers.

“Bethel Woods continues to provide our club kids with experiences that broaden their horizons and change the way they view the world, through music. We’re grateful for this partnership, and our club kids are already eager to go back for the next show!” said BGC Executive Director Alexis Eggleton.

Club members from middle programs across Sullivan County attended the show, with a portion of the transportation costs being absorbed by Rolling V Transportation.
