Learn how to keep cherished lands in your family and protect the landscape in perpetuity. Accountants, lawyers, financial planners and realtors will learn how to help clients minimize estate taxes. NY Town officials will learn how to use conservation easements as an effective planning tool for their communities and may receive 2 credits towards the required NYS training credits (please check with your municipality).

Since 1994 the Conservancy has protected over 13,000 acres of land by working with landowners in Sullivan and Delaware Counties in New York and Pike and Wayne Counties in Pennsylvania. “If I had the money, I would preserve every piece of natural land in the world. This is the piece I have, so that’s what I’ll protect…I have tremendous devotion to what’s wild.” Lou Barr – Fisherman, Easement Donor, Bethel, NY. The community benefits by protection of water quality, scenic views, wildlife habitat and working lands, generating local revenue.

The program is free and open to the general public. For questions and reservations call the Delaware Highlands Conservancy at 570-226-3164 or 845-807-0535, e-mail info@delawarehighlands.org or visit the website at www.delawarehighlands.org. Registration is required.
