The third installment of the 2011 Summer Outdoor Movies series in Liberty, on Friday August 19, will be “the social networkâ€, the 2010 winner of multiple Academy Awards and Golden Globes.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, the movie chronicles the history of facebook – from the early beginnings in 2003 to what has now become a global social network that revolutionized communication – making its creator Mark Zuckerberg the youngest billionaire in history. Showtime is approximately 8 PM – whenever it’s dark enough to start. The Summer Stage is located next to LaPolt Park and opposite Town Hall at 120 North Main Street.

Superhero comes to Liberty
IRON MAN 2 is the opening movie on Friday, August 5, of the 2011 Outdoor Movies Series on Liberty’s Summer Stage on North Main Street.
Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as superhero Tony Stark as he battles it out with the bad boys of the world, this time in the shape of Mickey Rourke aka Ivan Vanko. Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson complete the cast of this 2010 movie, described by Roger Ebert as “a polished, high-octane sequel, …building once again on a quirky performance by Robert Downey, Jr.â€

Swing Shift Orchestra CANCELLED – Rescheduled soon
Due to impending thunderstorms this evening – the Swing Shift Orchestra on the Main Street Stage has been cancelled for tonight, July 29th.
The event should be rescheduled soon. We’ll keep you posted.
Free Outdoor Movie Nights are coming back to Liberty on August 5
From August 5 to September 9, Friday Nights will be Open Air Movie Nights on the North Main Street Stage in Liberty. The Liberty Movie Nights Crew is ready to show a variety of movies for all ages:

Fri, Sep 9: Cars (2006 / voices of Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Owen Wilson)
Now in the 3rd year, Liberty Movie Nights are a community project of the Liberty Community Development Corporation, Liberty Rotary Club, the Town of Liberty Parks & Rec Department, and Floyd & Bobo’s Bakery.
All shows are free and will begin around 8 PM, weather permitting. Rain dates will be arranged as possible.
Parks and Rec Presents Swing Shift Orchestra July 29th
The Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the “Swing Shift Orchestra” on Friday, July 29th on the Main Street Stage. The show starts at 7pm.
Admission to the show is free – bring a chair or a blanket to enjoy the concert on!
