Monguap Pond Closed Until Further Notice

Planning one last camping trip to Mongaup Pond? Maybe some boating and fishing? Well the DEC just release an updated notice on campground & trail closures:
all DEC campgrounds in Delaware, Greene, Sullivan and Ulster counties will remain closed until further notice
The closures are due to Hurricane Irene and the recent flooding caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee. Mongaup Pond probably will not open for the rest of the year. We’ll keep you updated on it’s status for next year.
